Frequently asked questions

Do credits expire, can I get a refund, can fan comics be used commercially… The common questions are here.

Is it free?

Sign up and you get 3,000 credits, enough for about 30 images. That is enough to finish a short comic, and you do not need to add a card. Writing, editing text, chatting with the assistant, and exporting do not cost credits. Only generating images uses credits, at 100 credits per image. When you run out, you can buy a credit pack starting at $20, or invite friends. See “Credits and pricing”.

Do credits expire?

No. Credits you buy stay valid as long as your account exists. There is no subscription, and there is no automatic renewal.

Can I get a refund?

  • If you have not used a credit pack at all, you can get a full refund within 14 days;
  • If an image is not generated, the credits are returned automatically;
  • Used credit packs, sign-up credits, and invite credits are not refundable.

To request a refund, email [email protected] from the email address you used at checkout, and include your order number. See the refund policy.

How long can my story be?

Anything from one sentence to several pages works. If it is short, Wapopo helps expand it. If it is long, Wapopo splits it into several episodes.

Will characters look the same in every panel?

Yes. Each character first gets an element card and a reference image, and every panel after that uses them as a guide. The card must already have an image, and the character must be in the cast list for that panel. See “Cast list”.

Can I change the art style halfway through?

No. Once a comic’s art style is set, it cannot be changed, or the images before and after will not match. If you want a different style, start a new comic. See “Choose an art style”.

What do I get at the end?

You can export one episode or the whole comic as a PNG zip file (one image per page), or as a PDF. See “Export”. Wapopo does not offer printing or shipping. If you want a printed book, you can take the PDF to a print service yourself.

Who owns the comic I make? Can I use it commercially?

You own the rights to the content you create.

  • Original comics can be used commercially;
  • Fan comics (using characters, comics, or art owned by someone else) are for personal, non-commercial use only: without permission from the rights holder, you cannot sell them, publish them for a fee, or use them for any other commercial purpose.

Wapopo is not affiliated with any publisher, production company, or rights holder, and has not received permission to use their characters. See the terms of service.

Can I use my own language?

Yes. The interface has 16 languages, and comics are written in the interface language used when you create the comic. See “Interface language”.

Can other people see my comics?

No. Wapopo currently has no feature to publish or share comics, so comics are only in your own account. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising. See the privacy policy.

How do I delete my account?

There is no button in the product for deleting an account yet. If you need this, email [email protected]. After your account is deleted, your personal data and content will be deleted within 30 days.

Who can I contact if I have a problem?

Email [email protected]. We usually reply within 3 business days. You can also click your account in the lower-left corner, then click “Feedback” in the menu to write to us directly.
