Gallery

Where it is

The last item in the left sidebar of the workspace is “Gallery”. Also, a panel’s details have “All versions ›”. Click it to go straight to the gallery and see only that panel.

What is inside

All images generated in this comic are grouped into four types:

• images for each panel in the storyboard;
• images for element cards;
• images in frames on the thinking canvas;
• cover.

Old images that were replaced are not lost. Images pushed out by redraw, cleared by layout change, or removed when you delete pages or cards are all still here.

Art style cards drawn when you clone an art style, and character reference images for fan comics, are not here. They are in the matching art style or source pack on the assets page.

Filters

The center of the top bar has source tabs: “All”, “Panel base image”, “Element cards”, “Thinking canvas”, “Cover”, and finally “Discarded”. Each one shows a count. The first five only count images that are currently in use. Old images that were replaced only appear in “Discarded”.

The second row lets you choose “All episodes” or a specific episode. Element cards and canvases are not tied to episodes, so this row does not affect them.

Each image

The newest images appear first in the gallery. Under each image are three lines:

1. what it is, with a version number, for example “Panel · Episode 1 page 3 panel 1 v2”;
2. where it came from, for example “Episode 1 · Storyboard” or “Element cards”;
3. when it was drawn. For images that were replaced, the reason appears first in amber, such as “Pushed out by redraw”, “Cleared by layout change”, or “Delete page”. The image is also faded.

Click an image. On the right, you can see where it belongs, which version it is, when it was drawn, and whether it is still in use. Click “See all versions” to see every version drawn for that same place, including the one in use and the ones that were replaced.

What you cannot do yet

In this version, the gallery is view only. There is no download, no “switch back to this version”, and no delete. If you want the finished comic, use “Export”.

Be careful when changing a layout: When you change the layout of a page, the images on that page are cleared and moved to “Discarded” in the gallery, but you cannot bring them back in this version. Think it through before changing the layout.
