This policy explains what data Wapopo collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.
1. What we collect
Account information: phone number or email, nickname, and password (only an encrypted hash is stored).
Your content: story ideas, synopsis, characters, page breakdowns, images we generate for you, and reference images you upload.
Usage data: IP address, browser and device info, and request logs, used to operate and protect the service.
Payment information: when you buy credits, payment information is collected by Dodo Payments. We only receive order information (which pack you bought, amount, status, and the email entered at checkout). We do not see or store your card number.
2. What we use it for
To provide and improve the service, generate the comics you request, keep track of your credits, prevent abuse, reply to your messages, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.
3. Who we share with
We use the following service providers to process data on our behalf, sharing only what each needs:
Alibaba Cloud (servers and databases in Hong Kong; verification SMS and email) · Cloudflare (website hosting and image storage) · AI model providers (text, image generation, image understanding, including DeepSeek, and OpenAI and Google models accessed through API providers), each request receives the prompts and images needed · Web search and anime databases (Tavily, Bocha, AniList, Bangumi): when you import a character from a source work, they receive the work title and character name you entered · Dodo Payments (payment processing).
We may also disclose information when required by law.
4. Where data is stored
Our servers are in Hong Kong. Some of the service providers above may process data in other countries and regions, including the United States and mainland China.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account and content while your account is active. After you delete your account, we delete your personal data and content within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records.
6. Your choices
You can view and update your profile in Settings, or email [email protected] to request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data. We will reply within 7 days.
7. Security
We use encrypted connections, encrypted password storage, private image storage with expiring links, and access controls. No system is absolutely secure, so please tell us right away if you find an issue.
8. Minors
Wapopo is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
Policy changes will be posted on this page and the date above will be updated; for major changes, we will also notify you in the product.
